Speaker Biography
At just 19 years of age, Jouhayna AlMheiri was part of the 0.2% of women worldwide to successfully enter an Air Traffic Control program. Through unwavering determination and focus, she became the youngest woman and second Emirati woman to complete Air Traffic Control training at the Area Control Center in Abu Dhabi.

Over the past decade, Jouhayna has turned her experience in this high-stakes, high-responsibility role into a mission to educate and inspire. She is a passionate motivational speaker, especially among youth, and has now delivered two TEDx talks. Her most recent talk marked a historic moment as the first time an Air Traffic Controller has ever explained the field of Air Traffic Control on the red dot of the TED stage, using relatable storytelling to make the invisible world of air traffic control visible.

In 2021, she made history again by becoming the first woman to host the Dubai Airshow’s ‘Global Air Traffic Management’ Conference. Her dynamic stage presence and authentic voice have made her the go-to host and moderator for major international events, including:
-
Women in Aviation General Assembly (2021 & 2022)
-
Future Innovation Summit (2022)
-
World AI Show and Awards (2022)
